Manistal community is growing each month! Last month, we welcomed Thomas and Steven, the two founders of Nood, the mealbox startup from Brussels. Their philosophy? Offer healthy, easy and balanced cooking!
“No need to waste time shopping, you can eat healthy and easily, and avoid food waste!”. Their concept in short.
Thomas and Steven are in fact cousins. These two 30-year-olds both left their jobs a couple of years ago to embark on the entrepreneurial adventure.
Inspire people to eat healthy!
What’s the concept?
You can compose you own mealbox by choosing between 1 and 3 meals per week for 1 to 5 people. The team of dieticians and the chef offer 8 different recipes with mainly fresh, local and organic products! And a very important note: all vegetables are already washed and cut. As you can see, Steven and Thomas’s goal is to save you as much as time as possible. Once you receive your box at home, each meal is prepared in 20 minutes top time.
The shop: Next to mealboxes, Nood is also a shop with a varied salad bar. The idea started with a first observation: Getting into mealboxes is great, but how can we avoid waste? By creating a fresh salad bar in a grocery store. Mealboxes are also available in the take-away grocery store.
Steven was interviewed in the first episode of the podcast Makers. In this podcast, Steven explains how he started up Nood, how he convinced his cousin to join the adventure. He also talks about his career, his joys and his difficulties as entrepreneur.
